Film

Welcome to some of my collection videos. As a passionate photo and video creator, I craft captivating stories across various platforms, from documentaries to social media clips, YouTube ads, and website content. I personally handle all aspects of editing, colour grading, and production. While photography has been my longtime pursuit, video now allows me to share even more immersive narratives. Dive in and enjoy!

From my time spent with wolves in remote Northern Manitoba courtesy of Churchill Wild. I was filming as a hired videographer for a yet to be released documentary and for Churchill Wild as a creator of digital marketing assets. With my personal footage I made this short video about an incredible encounter with a lone wolf.

Alongside photography, I was engaged to film and produce a 15-second video for Rove Board Co. This video serves as a YouTube ad to promote their inflatable standup paddle boards. The concept showcases the ease of traveling with the backpack, inflating the board, and enjoying a paddling adventure in a picturesque setting. The video was filmed on the scenic Vancouver Island.

“Training Cardiac Surgeons” - The Hospital for Sick Children

I created this banner video for the 3D Printing Department at SickKids Children’s Hospital in Toronto to showcase their annual H.O.S.T (Hands-On Surgical Training) course. This weekend course draws surgeons in training from around the globe to learn advanced maneuvers and strategies from the hospital's expert staff surgeons, focusing on pediatric heart pathologies. The course features an invaluable hands-on experience in the wet lab, where participants practice on pig hearts (not a live pig. Surgical maneuvres are performed on only the hearts from previously deceased animals) and 3D printed models. This video aims to increase future signups by highlighting the course's unique and transformative training opportunities for aspiring heart surgeons. Please be advised there are graphic parts of this video.

I was commissioned to produce a dynamic 15-second YouTube ad for Kawartha Adventure Rentals, promoting their canoe rental service. Targeting outdoor enthusiasts in the Kawartha Lakes area, this ad aims to boost the business's revenue by reaching potential customers. I utilized handheld cameras, operated drones, and stepped in as the actor to create a quick engaging and visually appealing commercial. All footage including the wildlife clips, were filmed by me.

Camp Ponacka, with a legacy spanning over 70 years, is dedicated to building better boys through a rich tapestry of summer experiences. Beyond creating short-form videos for social media, I was commissioned by the camp director to produce a compelling 10 to 15-minute long-form video that captures the true spirit of camp life. This video will serve as an influential recruitment tool, showcased at live events and gatherings, aimed at inspiring parents to choose Camp Ponacka for their sons. It highlights the camp's offerings of exhilarating activities like canoeing, sailing, and swimming, along with other adventures that foster invaluable experiences, lifelong skills, and enduring friendships for their sons, while also supporting the camp's ongoing growth and success.

Tamron Americas, a camera lens manufacturer tasked me with filming an unboxing video for the newest lens product launch, a 28-300mm lens. They wanted a video for socials that they could pin to the top of their profile and to get people excited about the new lens launch. The video features quick cuts and an engaging hook at the beginning to keep viewer retention. Thanks to Ian Jones (@iansjones) for helping throw the box through the window so I could catch it.
