What are Lightroom Presets?

A Lightroom Preset is an already defined combination of Lightroom’s control settings created by the user to achieve a desired editing style or custom filtered look. They help to enhance your images in a unique way by manipulating colours and light. By purchasing my presets, your images will look similar to mine with the click of only one button in Lightroom.

 What do i need to use your lightroom presets?

You will need a Mac or PC and the Adobe Lightroom program. Lightroom is downloadable from Adobe.com so make sure you have it. Currently my presets are only available for desktop computers. My presets are compatible with both RAW files and JPG’s.

How Do I Get the Presets?

You will receive your preset package containing individual presets immediately after the payment. They are downloadable after the payment is completed.

Why Doesn’t My Photo Look Like Yours After Adding Your Preset?

Presets can be used many different ways. Each preset is made so that with one click you can transform your image into something else. However, lighting conditions alter wherever you shoot. This means you may have to play with the sliders in the “Basic" tool section to land on the look you desire.

Simple adjustments with Exposure and Contrast will usually solve most issues. Highlights, Shadows, Colour Temperature, Whites and Blacks within the same module can offer even more flexibility to help adjust each preset to fit the lighting in each of your photos.

How Do I Install Lightroom Presets?

1. On a PC, go into Lightroom and click on Edit at the top (next to File), then click on Preferences. On a Mac, click on the Lightroom tab (to the left of File), then click on Preferences.

2.  There will be a new screen that pulls up and there will be several tabs at the top, click on Presets (the second tab).

3.  Click on the box titled, Show Lightroom Develop Presets.

4.  Double click on Settings. Paste the folder from your download that holds the .xmp files into this folder.

5.  You're done!  If Lightroom was open when you copied the Pretty Presets, you will have to close it and restart it.
