MOOSE
Moose are extremely insulated with thick fur and love cold weather. They are the largest and heaviest animal in the deer family. Moose are typically found in boreal forests with a mixture of deciduous and coniferous trees. The name “moose” roughly translates to “twig eater” in Canadian Indigenous culture. Males or “bulls” grow and shed antlers while females or “cows” do not. Bull antlers showcase their strength and maturity and come in handy for battles with other bulls during the “rut” or breeding season.
